Complete Malossi MHR high-end converter unit, including Vario, for Piaggio mopeds.
Carefully selected, high-quality materials make this converter and clutch set an extremely robust and durable drivetrain, which is primarily used in high-end tuning applications.
The following parts are included:
- Main shaft for the transmission with gear teeth on the clutch mounting and 11 teeth (includes nut, bearing, and oil seal)
- Torque Driver pulley system with 2 selectable pitches
- Fly Clutch with a diameter of 107 mm and a double-D mounting
- Wing Clutch Bell with a diameter of 107 mm and additional cooling fins
- Red counterpressure spring: silicon-alloyed steel, 45 kg
- Malossi Multivar Variomat with 6 g weights
The input shaft for the transmission fits the following (straight-toothed) gear ratios:
- Malossi 8.93 / 1
- Piaggio 12.27 / 1
- Piaggio 12.50 / 1
- Malossi HTQ 12.82 / 1
- Piaggio 16.02 / 1
Note: For Ciao models, the pulleys must be machined down or the frame must be modified. Additionally, as with installation on a Grillo or Bravo, a shorter belt from the scooter range must be used.
There is no longer a starter clutch. The engine must therefore be started with a pull-start cord; side guards can no longer be installed.

The clutch is not compatible with standard parts from common converter units.
