The crankshaft makes the difference
The crankshaft is the heart of your moped engine – it converts the linear up-and-down movement of the piston into a rotating movement. Or to put it more simply: without the crankshaft, nothing turns. It connects the piston, connecting rod, and flywheel to form a perfectly coordinated system that keeps your drive running.
A good crankshaft is characterized above all by smooth running, stable bearing surfaces, and high manufacturing precision. It ensures that your engine runs cleanly and with low vibration – even at higher speeds. Whether for tuning, rebuilding, or simply as a reliable replacement: the shaft must fit. If it doesn't fit 100%, performance suffers – or even the entire engine.
That's why many mechanics rely on reinforced or finely balanced models. A good crankshaft not only withstands a lot, it also delivers – namely, plenty of propulsion.
