The upwardly extended oil vent allows more transmission oil to be poured into the engine case than is provided for in the Piaggio manual. This improves the oil supply to the clutch components, which can help prevent premature wear. This plug screw is particularly useful for Vespa large-frame clutches such as the VMC Ergal or Cosa2 clutches.

The steel screw features a black anti-corrosion coating and is secured via a hex head. An aluminum venting system is located at the top of the tube.
