The cylinder cover is made of plastic.

The cylinder cover (also known as a cowl or scoop) guides the cooling air cleanly around the cylinder and thus helps to reduce the risk of overheating. At the same time, the cover protects the cables above it from the engine's waste heat. Inexpensive and clean spare part in excellent original equipment quality.
